A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats

Our Experience
Koru Capital is a US-based venture firm led by a team with 15+ years of experience in startups and VC. Our team brings the perspective of former operators who have built, scaled, and exited businesses, as well as the expertise of a VC investor with over $150 million deployed across 200+ companies, and exits exceeding $20 Billion. This shapes how we source, evaluate risk, allocate capital, and support management teams. Our investment committee and advisory board draw from institutions including Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, SpaceX, and Stanford Medicine.

Our Roots
Koru ("kor-roo") is the shape of the unfurling silver fern frond, a symbol of new beginnings, growth, and strength. Its expansion embodies the entrepreneurial journey, which drives innovation and progress. The spiral also echoes the Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical harmony in nature that resonates with our MIT roots and data-driven approach. At Koru, our funds, partners, companies, and investors grow interconnectedly, fostering collaboration and shared success.

Our Approach
Koru backs companies building the next layer of infrastructure, reshaping legacy industries, and unlocking entirely new markets enabled by AI. We’re investing in the next generation of technology and the architecture of what comes next.
We invest in Series A through D companies as well as secondary opportunities in late-stage market leaders such as SpaceX, OpenAI, and Stripe. We follow experienced VCs with high conviction, discipline around entry points, reserves, and long-term alignment.
